Daniel McCarthy is a member of the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Melbourne. He works on the conceptual relationship between transparency, trust, and knowledge production in world politics. His research on transparency has been published in the European Journal of International Relations and Globalizations, and was a significant focus in his book Power, Information Technology, and International Relations Theory (Palgrave, 2015). Within TRANSGOV, he is an advisor to the project and will also facilitate the Australia case study.

Shikha Bhasin is a researcher and programme lead on climate change mitigation policies at the the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), New Delhi, India. She works on innovation systems for low-carbon technologies and leads CEEW’s research on phasing down hydrofluorocarbons in India. She has also been involved with institutionalisation of an R&D platform for supporting such a phase-out. Within TRANSGOV, she will facilitate analysis of India’s engagement with UNFCCC climate transparency arrangements and domestic dynamics thereof.

Sumit Prasad is a programme associate of the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW). He works on climate change and the energy sector. His current work at CEEW focuses on capacity building needs and transparency arrangements under the UNFCCC. Sumit is also developing an institutional framework for the measuring, reporting and verification (MRV) of India’s domestic mitigation actions, and for identifying best MRV practices globally. Within TRANSGOV, he is an advisor to the project and will also facilitate the India case study.

Harald Winkler is a professor in the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment, University of Cape Town. He works on climate change mitigation in the context of sustainable development. Harald has extensive experience with reporting and review systems under the UNFCCC and currently serves as a co-facilitator for the Global Stocktake. Within TRANSGOV, he is an advisor to the project and will also facilitate the South Africa case study.
